Christophe Forel

Christophe Forel currently serves as the eNVM Design & Validation Team Manager at STMicroelectronics, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing non-volatile memory (eNVM) technologies for microcontroller units (MCUs). His leadership oversees a multidisciplinary team of over 20 engineers, encompassing digital and analog front-end (FE/BE) design, verification, and validation, ensuring the development of robust, high-performance eNVM IPs tailored for next-generation embedded applications. Christophe’s expertise in mixed-signal integrated circuit design, CMOS technology, and low-power design principles underpins his ability to deliver innovative solutions that meet stringent quality and reliability standards. His strategic approach involves building and nurturing high-performing teams from scratch, fostering a culture of excellence in design execution, silicon validation, and IP packaging.

With a strong background in analog and digital circuit design, Christophe has successfully led complex projects involving DFT (Design for Test), silicon validation in laboratory environments, and comprehensive verification processes. His deep understanding of hardware architecture and silicon integration ensures that the eNVM IPs are optimized for performance, power efficiency, and manufacturability. Additionally, his experience in system-on-chip (SoC) integration and ASIC development complements his role in delivering scalable, high-quality memory solutions for embedded systems.

Christophe’s industry insights are further enriched by his academic foundation in automatic systems and microelectronics from Université de Montpellier, combined with his hands-on skills in IC design, processors, and electronics.
