Ben Broeder

Ben Den Broeder currently serves as the Head of IT for ORPEA Netherlands, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the organization’s digital transformation and information management strategies. In this capacity, Ben is end-responsible for overseeing the integration of innovative IT solutions across ORPEA’s diverse care settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and mental health services. His expertise in process analysis and process optimization enables him to streamline operations, enhance data-driven decision-making, and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. Ben’s leadership in budgeting and information improvement programs ensures that ORPEA’s IT infrastructure aligns with strategic goals, supporting both clinical excellence and operational efficiency.

Throughout his tenure, Ben has spearheaded key projects focused on implementing cloud computing solutions to improve data accessibility and security, as well as developing tailored software applications that enhance patient care workflows. His background in software development and product development allows him to collaborate effectively with technical teams and vendors, ensuring that IT initiatives are both innovative and compliant with healthcare regulations. Additionally, Ben’s experience in negotiation and business strategy has been instrumental in securing investments for digital health initiatives and expanding ORPEA’s technological capabilities.

Between 2018 and 2022, Ben also took on additional responsibilities as Head of Administration, overseeing the order-to-cash process for both care and non-care services. This role further deepened his understanding of healthcare operations, financial management, and quality assurance. His comprehensive skill set—spanning management, leadership, operations, and quality assurance—positions him as a key driver of ORPEA’s mission to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care through innovative IT solutions and strategic process improvements.
