Bala Hede

Bala Hede currently serves as the District Child Protection Officer at the Women and Child Development Department in Ahmednagar, where he plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the rights and well-being of children across the district. In this capacity, Bala is responsible for fostering effective coordination among key stakeholders, including the District Magistrate, Police Superintendent, District Judge, Child Welfare Committee (CWC), and various government departments, ensuring a cohesive approach to child development and rehabilitation initiatives. His expertise in establishing robust communication channels facilitates the timely implementation of policies and programs aligned with national frameworks such as the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act (JJ Act) and Integrated Child Protection Scheme (ICPS).

Bala has spearheaded several key projects aimed at strengthening child protection mechanisms within the district. These projects focus on child rescue, rehabilitation, and reintegration, with an emphasis on vulnerable children such as those in conflict with the law or in need of care and protection. He actively organizes comprehensive training programs for government functionaries, NGOs, and community stakeholders to enhance their capacity in child rights, child protection procedures, and rehabilitation strategies, adhering to ICPS guidelines.
