Azzahra Amara is a dedicated Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst at Forest Watch Indonesia, where she plays a vital role in advancing forest conservation efforts through spatial data analysis and digital mapping. In her current position, Azzahra is responsible for digitizing forest land cover data across Indonesia, utilizing ArcGIS software to create detailed, province-specific maps that support sustainable forestry management and policy-making. Her expertise in GIS technology, combined with her proficiency in SQL and data analysis, enables her to efficiently process large datasets sourced from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, ensuring accurate and up-to-date digital representations of Indonesia’s diverse forest landscapes.

Azzahra’s work involves not only the technical aspects of spatial data digitization but also the strategic interpretation of land cover patterns to inform decision-making processes. She prepares weekly and monthly reports that synthesize her digital work results, providing valuable insights for stakeholders involved in forest conservation and land use planning.
