About Assata Stephens

Assata Stephens is a dynamic Program Coordinator for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Events within the Department of Population Health Sciences at Duke University. With a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment, Assata embodies the principle of "When you see the need, meet the need," actively working to create meaningful change within her community. In her role, she expertly coordinates a range of annual events that engage over 150 departmental members, including the Faculty Retreat, Winter Social, Staff Retreat, and Summer Social.
