Andreas Schäuble currently serves as a Project Manager in Accident Research at DEKRA Automobil GmbH, based in Stuttgart, Germany. In this pivotal role, he leads initiatives aimed at advancing the vision of zero traffic fatalities by meticulously analyzing accident data and identifying high-risk scenarios. Andreas's expertise spans trauma biomechanics and forensic biomechanics, enabling him to interpret complex injury mechanisms and contribute valuable insights to vehicle safety improvements. His work involves leveraging sophisticated anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs) and conducting detailed accident reconstructions to better understand injury causation, especially in pedestrian accidents—a critical focus area in his projects.

As a key member of the German In-Depth Accident Study’s (GIDAS) expert group “Medicine” and the Research Association of Automotive Technology’s working group “Biomechanics & Accident Research,” Andreas collaborates with industry leaders to develop innovative safety solutions. His contributions are integral to the development of the Road Safety Report, which synthesizes research findings and safety recommendations for policymakers and automotive manufacturers.
