I led a large product management team that owned Groupon's iOS and Android apps in all 20+ countries in which we operate. We defined the product strategy, built roadmaps, and shipped features across the consumer experience, including browse, search, navigation, maps and location, and notifications. My team helped lead the work of more than 60 engineers, designers, researchers, and analysts with a focus on reinventing Groupon as a destination marketplace for local services and goods.During this time, Groupon became the #1 highest-rated retail app in North America (ARC by Applause) and a top 25 most-used app in North America (comScore). It was the fastest-growing platform for Groupon, generating nearly $3B in transactions annually. More than 120 million people in 27 countries have downloaded the Groupon mobile app. From August 2015 to April 2017 (1 year 9 months) Palo Alto, CaliforniaHead of Product, Groupon Coupons @ Groupon Product lead for Groupon Coupons, Snap by Groupon, and Groupon's National Brands team. I managed product, design, engineering, and QA teams.My teams created and operated Groupon Coupons, a new vertical comprised of three platforms: an online coupons product, Android and iOS apps offering in-store coupons, and a new grocery savings app called Snap. These businesses are among the fastest growing at Groupon and now generate a substantial portion of company earnings.I also led product for our National Brands team, which leverages the Groupon platform to promote hundreds of retail partners like Starbucks, Sam's Club, and Shutterfly.These products expand Groupon's consumer value proposition beyond local deals and enable new revenue from thousands of online retailers and national brands. From December 2013 to July 2015 (1 year 8 months) Greater Chicago AreaFounder & CEO @ Boomerang, Inc. Acquired by Groupon.Boomerang operated two complementary platforms: a rewards-based advertising network and a consumer gifting app. Our products drove more than 2 million consumers to shop our advertising partners, including Shutterfly, Finish Line, Newegg, Gilt and 1-800-Flowers.
