From 2013 to 2016, Yu Tian was a post-doctoral fellow at the Department of Computer Science at City University of New York-College of Staten Island. During this time, she worked on the development of machine learning algorithms and implemented them into a software application. She also exhibited her work at several upcoming international conferences. In 2016, she completed her graduate work at the Department of Computer Science at City University of New York-College of Staten Island, receiving her M.Sc. in Computer Science. She is currently working on her PhD at the same department.Yu Tian has extensive experience in research and development in the field of computer science, having developed several successful machine learning algorithms. She has strong Attentional Control, Memory and Sensorimotor Abilities, both in studying and working with machines.Yu Tian's research interests include computer science, Attentional Control, Memory and Sensorimotor Abilities, and from there I will mention a few specific papers she has worked on in this field.One of her recent papers was "Attentional Control of Multiple Monitors with Multi-Sensor Fusion" in the journal "Attention" (2018), where she and her team present a novel approach to attention control in a mixed reality environment. In this work, Yu and her team use aMultiple Monitors interactive display system (MID) to simultaneously sense and act on the users' surroundings. They use this information to learn how the user's attention moves around the environment and create a 3D response virtual environment that is optimized for attention control. The team has also demo'd their system at the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computer Systems (PDIS), and at the 5th International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICARO), both in 2018.Another recent paper Yu Tian published was "Attentional Control of Multi-Sensor Fusion Cameras to surveys" in " Scientific Reports" (2018), where she and her team present a novel approach to attention control for photo-onset surveys. In this work, they use a fusion of image sensors to simultaneously gather data about the environment and the users. They then use this information to learn how the user's attention moves around the environment and create a 3D response virtual environment that is optimized for attention control. The team has also demo'd their system at the IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computer Systems (PDIS), and at the 5th International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICARO). Yu Tian's current project is a RELIANT CONNECT project funded by the NSF International Center for Theoretical and mathematical Sciences (ICTS). The project is titled "Attention-oriented Glasses for Disabled Children" and is focused on the development of adaptive optics glasses that are designed to improve the user's performance while they are learning. The team is currently working on an iPhone app that will make it possible for parents to exercise their child's attention while they are learning.Yu Tian is also a corresponding author for the "Attention" (2018) journal article "Attention as a learnt skill" and has also been a reviewer for " IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence" (2016
