Yng-Ru Chen, as the Founder and CEO of Praise Shadows Art Gallery, has established a dynamic platform that redefines the relationship between artists and the commercial art world. With a vision to harness the unrecognized potential of the art ecosystem, Yng-Ru leads a strategic advisory that empowers artists to diversify their creative output and revenue streams. Under her guidance, Praise Shadows Art Gallery has emerged as a hybrid space in the Boston area, showcasing exhibitions by emerging and mid-career contemporary artists while also serving as a retail hub for art books and accessible artworks.
Since the gallery's inception in 2018, Yng-Ru has spearheaded key projects that emphasize mentorship for young talent in the Greater Boston area, fostering a supportive community that nurtures creativity and innovation. Her expertise in public relations, marketing, and event management has been instrumental in curating engaging exhibitions and events that resonate with diverse audiences. By leveraging social media and research, Yng-Ru effectively amplifies the voices of underrepresented artists, ensuring their work reaches a broader audience.

She believes that the art ecosystem thrives when artists are given the tools and opportunities to succeed beyond traditional gallery confines.
