She worked on developing robust instrumentation hardware and software/firmware used in production of every iPhone 7, 7 plus, 8, 8 plus, iPhone X, iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max.Last, Yin Yang was a Senior Instrumentation Electrical Engineer at Apple in Cupertino, California from September 2015 to August 2018. Her work focused on developing wide-band thin-film sensor and measurement hardware/software/firmware used in acoustic power measurement,3D sensing technology, and failure analysis of hardware/software.In January 2008, Yin Yang joined the research staff of the Human-Machine System Lab at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. There, she worked on developing a rehab robot team that designed, prototype, and Jeremiah-the- RehabRobot. In her three years at the lab, Yin Yang led the team to design and test a lower extremity exoskeleton. The robot was successful in delivering treatments to users, and she also developed the software to provide feedback signals on human-machine interaction surfaces.After leaving the lab, Yin Yang joined Baosteel Group Co. in Shanghai City, China as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern. There, she gained wide knowledge of the organization and operation of steel manufacturing as a production and safety training intern.
Yin Yang's education journey began in 2009 when she earned her M.Eng. degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from McGill University. Yin Yang then completed her undergraduate degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2004.
