As a computer science major at Columbia University, Tamar Weinberg developed her interests in computer systems and their design and operation. However, in her junior year, she also began her study of psychology and found her passion in the field. Weinberg then graduated with a BA in Computer Science and Psychology in 2013. Weinberg has since worked as a doctoral candidate at the University of Utah, where she is currently a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Psychology.Weinberg has been working on an experiment to explore how cognitive abilities are related to respondent propensity to take part in civic engagement. She also wants to study how students' understanding of the United States Constitution changes as they learn more about it. In terms of work readiness, Weinberg has found that she needs more research experience. Weinberg currently has a working title for her current project - “Understanding The Role Of Citizenship In the United States Constitution: A Review Study”.Weinberg arrived to her current position at the University of Utah in Fall of 2016. Weinberg has unfinished work on an experiment to explore how cognitive abilities are related to respondent propensity to take part in civic engagement.
