💼 Past Experience

Born in 1971 in Pittsburgh, PA, Steve Selzer graduated from Carnegie Mellon with a triple major in Architecture, Design and Graphics in 1993. After four years of undergraduate work, Selzer moved to San Francisco, CA in 1995 and got his first job as an Assistant Viewfinder for the architecture firm of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Selzer then worked as a Research and Development Engineer at the Guggenheim Museum before getting his first taste of product design when he became an Assistant Director at Pink Design, LLC, where he worked from May 2008 to September 2010. From there, Selzer moved to Cofounder at Switchboard International, where he worked from May 2005 to September 2010. He also worked at Right now, a nonprofit development organization in Africa that he founded in 2009.Selzer is currently a Design (Contract) at Google from May 2018 to April 2019 in San Francisco Bay Area. He is also a Design Manager at Airbnb from June 2015 to March 2018 in San Francisco Bay Area. He has also been a Senior Research Engineer at Westfield since July 2014 and has been leading the design of their new park areas in Palo Alto and San Francisco.
