Full-Stack Software Engineer @ I develop the core BookBub website, including new dashboard features for author submissions as well as internal administrative tools to streamline and automate tasks performed by other teams, allowing our small team to scale to handle the millions of customers BookBub serves daily.
Notable projects include:
- A node.js API utilizing a command-line interface and webhooks to integrate Github and Trello seamlessly, allowing developers to report and manage their weekly tasks with significantly reduced effort
- A Ruby on Rails API/Backbone.js interface to automatically process and track the performance of unit tests over time, allowing for quick diagnosis of test failures From January 2015 to July 2015 (7 months) .NET Integrations Developer/Installations Consultant @ Independently began, architected, and developed a live Javascript visual feed of LevelUp orders across the United States, producing the current centerpiece of the office's lobby.
Developed integrations in C# that allow customers to pay for purchases with LevelUp using existing point-of-sale systems such as Dinerware and the MICROS family.
Additional responsibilities included large-scale data analysis, developing a system to effectively track integration problems as they occur, and technical assistance with the deployment and installation of said integrations. From January 2014 to August 2014 (8 months) Greater Boston AreaCo-op Software Developer @ Spearheaded development of the ASP.NET MVC PlainView reporting suite for use by law firms in the greater Boston area, in addition to internal C# and Java data manipulation utilities tasked with processing terabytes of data at extremely high speeds without errors.
Also assisted in IT and data manipulation tasks including the rapid formatting of large sums of data via regular expressions as well as installation and maintenance of network hardware. From January 2013 to June 2013 (6 months) Peer Tutor for CS 1800 @ Assisted students with discrete mathematics including boolean logic, set theory, combinatorics, and inductive proofs through one-on-one support and group lecturing.
Additionally, assisted course professors with grading of assignments and exams. From September 2012 to December 2012 (4 months) Web Development Intern @ Developed web solutions in PHP for clients throughout the greater Lancaster area and worldwide using object-oriented web frameworks such as CakePHP and Drupal.
Lead developer of the Portal of Transparency, a secure tool in PHP to give clients an eye into company progress on their projects and give them tools to request new features and guide project focus, interfacing directly with our workflow utility, JIRA. From May 2012 to September 2012 (5 months)
