He has worked as an engineer in various companies including, Mumbai-based VISION Infotechlimited, Bangalore-based Makers Technologyenture Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad-based Nemurikake Global Investments, Chennai-based Great Eastern Electronics Holding Ltd., Bangalore-based Elektronik Telekom etc. He has also worked as a data entry Operator in various companies. While working at Makers Technologyventure Pvt. Ltd., he had helped start the company's own web based engineering testing lab. Srinivas Ponangi has a MS in Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He had his MS in 2006 from Mysore Technological University.
