In 2002, Spencer Gerrol was born in Boston, MA. Gerrol graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Business Administration in 2004. After completing his business degree, Spencer worked as a Usability Specialist for Human Factors International for 2 years. Gerrol then started working at Bose Corporation as a Usability Researcher for 1 year. Finally, in 2003, Spencer started working at SPARK Neuro as the Research Associate. There, he started working on developing a new research platform called the “Brain & Nervous System Activity Monitor”. This platform is designed to measure brain and nervous system activity so we can see exactly when people are engaged and when they are not. The idea behind this platform is that instead of relying on traditional, biased approaches, we can use this data to make informed decisions about advertisements and entertainment.While at SPARK Neuro, Spencer developed a new way to measure brain and nervous system activity. This new way is called the “Brain & Nervous System Activity Monitor”. This platform is designed to measure brain and nervous system activity so we can see exactly when people are engaged and when they are not. The idea behind this platform is that instead of relying on traditional, biased approaches, we can use this data to make informed decisions about advertisements and entertainment. The Brain & Nervous System Activity Monitor is used by major brands, ad agencies, TV networks, and the US Military. Recently, SPARK Neuro was featured by CNN, ABC, and The Washington Post. Spencer Gerrol is currently the Executive Director at Human Factors International and also works on developing a new research platform that is designed to measure brain and nervous system activity so we can see exactly when people are engaged and when they are not.

Spencer Gerrol has a Bachelor’s degree in engineering management from Tufts University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Spanish language and culture from Universidad de Alcalá.Gerrol has been working in the software engineering field for over six years, most recently as a technical assistant with Google. He is currently a senior technical assistant at Symphony Technologies. Gerrol is experienced and ready to work in a variety of software engineering positions, from project management to coding.
