Principal Software Engineer @ In this role, I am the lead escalation engineer for the broader Service Management suite of products at CA. I’m tasked in resolving customer reported issues within the shortest possible time. It’s a time and pressure situation for sure which I enjoy; it consists of juggling many tasks at once: code debugging, analyzing memory and stack dumps, product and system log review, remote live trouble shooting, and bug fixing. In addition, I lead efforts to streamline internal and product work flows and innovate within the development and maintenance phases. From April 2012 to Present (3 years 7 months) Houston, Texas AreaSenior Software Engineer @ In this next phase in my professional journey I seeked and worked on more challenging and complex software issues for the Service Desk management product at CA. This entailed as being the primary contact for on site customer deployments to smooth over highly escalated situations with product related complexities. In addition, I participated in implementing new enhancements and features during development phases. From May 2010 to April 2012 (2 years) Islandia, NYSoftware Engineer @ Joining CA Technologies and being part of a dynamic Technical Support team with new challenges was a rewarding experience. Assisted the customers in finding a quick solution to encountered challenges during CA Service Management deployment and post deployment. Quickly solving issues that require deep debugging (reviewing stack and memory dumps from Windows and Unix platforms). From January 2007 to May 2010 (3 years 5 months) Web Master/Programmer, Linux Server Administrator, System Administrator @ Since I joined as the web master/developer the website visitor’s number grew from a few hundred per day to over thirty thousand visitors per day. The webpage back end has changed dramatically from a standard Post Nuke web page to a totally customized to Cracked Entertainment needs, we launched a 20 bloggers system, based on Movable Type, and 2 online stores.

Beside of designing and developing the website I set up a 2 store fronts with a back end, and a blogging system with 20 bloggers. From October 2005 to January 2007 (1 year 4 months) Network Administrator/Engineer, Linux Server Administrator, and Application Developer @ Network supervision and monitoring for all the firm’s live servers (System Administrator). Providing 24 x 7 protections from virus and hacker attacks. System up time 99.8% (with the exception of scheduled maintenance).
Installation and setup of the Apache/PHP Servers (RedHat 9.0). Supervision, configuration and administration of the Foundation’s Mail Server (SendMail). Commercial hosting for 5 different domains of the Foundation’s various customers (24x7 medical facilities/clinics, printing shops, medium size retailers). Additionally, DNS Configuration and administration of the above hosting contracts (RedHat Linux 9.0).
Development project leader for the customer access restrictions and statistical application. The client/server application (MS Visual Basic using the Microsoft Access Database as the backend) is used by 50-100 users daily. It handles Workstation/User authentication and generates billing reports. The software generates revenue for the Educational Foundation.
