Sarah is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology with a particular focus on technical vitality, professionalism in the industry, Women in Technology and bridging the business-IT gap.
She is an Executive Architect and The Open Group Distinguished Certified Architect. She works closely with a number of professional bodies such as the British Computing Society to drive professionalism in the IT Industry in the UK. She regularly advises customers across all industries on developing architectural capability and growing professionalism.
Sarah is the Europe Architect Profession Leader within IBM, and leads the Architect across Europe. She runs the certification boards within IBM Europe and also participates in certification boards for The Open Group certifying architects in companies across UK and Europe.
Sarah is a Fellow of the British Computing Society, and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineering and Technology. She is actively engaged in Women in Technology intiiatives within IBM to encourage more women into technical careers, and also regularly presents to schools on technical careers.
Sarah was a finalist in the ‘Inspiration of the Year’ category of the 2013 everywoman in Technology awards.
