COO of The Google Operations Center (a Google Bet) @ Google The GOC is a c-level strategic priority at Google that created a new company responsible for delivering enhanced customer support with increased performance and quality for Gooogle’s products.-- Assembled and co-led a team of 125 people to conceptualize, build, and launch this new business for Google within eight months. -- Scaled to over a thousand employees within a year of launch in multiple geographies. -- Hired senior executive teams for local sites as well as global shared services roles.-- Achieved 98% CSAT and 95% quality within a month of launch with no service downtime or negative impact on operations.-- Created the organizational mission, values, and operational infrastructure. Oversaw entity creation and compliance with local tax/regulations. Architected career models, performance management systems, compensation, benefits, and talent acquisition strategies. Implemented new technical systems / access controls, new tools, and new physical security protocols. Designed engagement and pricing model.-- Created a three-year plan to launch additional global sites, grow the number of employees and enhance capabilities that is currently being operationalized. From 2018 to 2019 (1 year) Group Product Manager, Google Maps & Local Search (GEO) @ Google Product lead for GEO’s Actions program, an initiative designed to transform Google Maps and Local Search into commerce platforms. Examples include making a restaurant reservation and ordering a taxi/Uber/Lyft.-- Led team of 40 people to develop and launch products/features that grew transactions for end-to-end bookings from zero in 2016 to more than a million monthly bookings by year-end 2018. -- Grew number of merchants more than tenfold within a year and scaled to 10 verticals available in 15 countries by year-end 2018. Notable partnerships include OpenTable, TripAdvisor & Uber.-- Dramatically scaled the self-service platform that enabled users to deep-link to third party websites and native apps in new countries and verticals. At EOY 2018, this infrastructure supported millions of merchants globally.-- Partnered closely with Google Maps executives to create the product vision for Google Maps 2017. Led annual strategic planning and launched processes to increase the GEO organization’s velocity. From 2016 to 2018 (2 years) Senior Product Manager @ Nest Product lead for both the Nest App and Subscription Services. These products comprised the entire consumer-facing software system powering the Nest smart device business and enabled the connected home vision. -- Oversaw team of ~100 to design and launch the Nest Aware Subscription Service in seven countries with camera-specific features. This was Nest’s first subscription for their camera hardware.-- Defined subscription features, policies, pricing, marketing positioning, purchase and management experience, international rollout plan, and go-to-market strategy. -- Generated over tens of millions in revenue in first year of launch and grew attach rate to >40% of all camera owners. Continued to grow subscribers 50%+ YoY after initial launch. -- Product lead managing the Nest App team of ~40 engineers. Grew daily active users by 105% in first year with an average of 2.6 sessions/day. Averaged a launch every 8 weeks. Developed both immediate and longer-term roadmaps for the App that incorporated new hardware, new software features, new services, and improvements based on user feedback. -- Created the company product roadmap for 2015 and 2016 spanning hardware, software, and services. From 2014 to 2016 (2 years) Product Manager @ Google Member of the initial Google+ team that built the site from a stealth project into the second largest social networking site in the world, with over 640million monthly active users and more than 1.5 billion photos uploaded each week at peak.-- Product lead for Google+ Integrations with other Google product areas. Led cross-functional teams of 20-65 people to launch social experiences on Google Play & Google Maps. For Play, resulted in >200% increase reviews in the US, >20% growth in US users with social experiences, and substantially higher click-through rates and revenue per user. For Maps, increased number of reviews, user/business engagement on reviews, and introduced “follow” a business.-- Advocated for and launched a single Google profile to replace the unique profiles that were previously implemented by each of Google’s 25+ products. This consolidation required the creation of a common identity model and infrastructure that all Google products still share. -- Redesigned the Google+ Profile and user experience across iOS, Android, desktop and mobile web impacting over 540 million consumer profiles and over 100 million business profiles. From 2011 to 2014 (3 years) Sales Strategy & Operations Specialist @ Google Member of Global Strategy, Asia Pacific Regional, and Online Sales & Operations Strategy teams.-- Global team: Identified key initiatives and worked with the Sales leadership team to launch and manage these programs generating an incremental $2.5 billion in revenue in 2010. Established a Mobile-specific global operations group and developed a sales strategy to reach a $1 billion revenue run rate.-- Asia-Pacific Regional team: Collaborated with leadership to grow the business in Asia from $1 billion to $2 billion in revenue. Developed the regional mobile strategy, assisted with country specific growth plans, and oversaw headcount reduction planning. -- Online Sales & Operations team: Developed an early YouTube monetization strategy focused on growing revenue from $250 million in 2008 to $1 billion by 2010. Improved operational efficiency of Consumer Operations team by reorganizing support for Asian markets. Oversaw inaugural annual planning process for Consumer Operations team globally. From 2007 to 2011 (4 years) Jr. Professional Assoc, South Asia Human Development @ The World Bank Selected from more than 8,000 applicants for a two-year intensive program at the World Bank. Only person at the time to be selected directly from an undergraduate institution.
