Sameer Gandhi was born in India in 1974. He received his B.A. from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1990 and his M.B.A. from Indian School of Business in 1994. After completing his education, he worked as a technical sales representative at Oracle Corporation from 1988 to 1992. He then moved to Broadview International from 1994 to 1998, where he was the technical sales representative for the energy business. From there he went on to become the Principle at Broadview International from 1998 to 2002. During his time at Broadview International, he also managed the technical sales unit, as well as the company’s marketing and sales activities.In 2002, Sameer Gandhi left Broadview International to become the Founder and CEO of Accel, a venture capital firm. Accel is a venture capital firm focused on early stage startups. Accel is headquartered in Menlo Park, California. Accel is also known as one of the most successful venture capital firms in the world.Achievements from his time at Accel:Sameer Gandhi has been involved in many successful startup businesses. He has been responsible for Accel's recent successes, such as Accel went public in 2006 and was one of the largest venture capitalists in the world. Accel has also won numerous awards, including what is considered to be one of the largest LOAs in history.Sameer Gandhi is also known for his pithy sayings and his dry wit. One of his most famous sayings is " vinegar or snowflakes?" which is seen as a clever way of Dodge the difficult question. He also has a signature line in his blog, " if it ain't broke, don't fix it." One of Accel's latest successful startups, Stitch, was founded by Gandhi in response to this line.
