After that, he worked as the Coordinator of the Earth System Science and Research program at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Washington, D.C. from 2014-2018. He currently is a Tenured Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.In his past academic career, Sailesh Chutani has focused on research in the field of Ecology and Earth System Science.
