Ryan Treft has a Bachelor of Science in Technical Sales from Weber State University in 2004. RyanTreft also has a Minor in Economics from the University of Utah in 2003. After dropping out of Gonzaga University's Master's program in 2009, Ryan Treft moved to Seattle, Washington to start his own software development company.

In 2011, Ryan was hired as the CTO of Coalatree, a company focused on performance-based ecommerce. There, he led the team that designed and implemented a platform that allowed their customers to track their sales and grow their business.Since then, Ryan has worked with Coalatree subsidiary Ikonifi.com, focusing on the digital marketing side of their business. His team created a highly relevant audience for a company that sells outdoor gear, allowing them to scale to a profit.Ryan is also a Professor at Weber State University’s School of Business, where he teaches a module on ecommerce. He also works as an adjunct professor for the Weber State University’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center.
