Richard Mills was born in the Philippines in 1966. He grew up in a family of pianists and he got his first degree in Music from the Manila Colleges of Science and Technology in 1984. After completing his studies, he started his career in 1986 as a music teacher and then attained his first job as a management consultant in 1989. From 1991-1996, Richard Mills was the Regional Manager of Asia for the IBM Philippines. From 1998-2001, he was the Senior Manager of Marketing for the same company. From 2002-2005, he was the Regional Manager of International Region for IBM Philippines. From 2006-2007, he was the Regional Manager of Asia Pacific for IBM Philippines. From 2009-2013, he was the Vice President for Strategic Directions for the company. From 2014-present, he is the Chairman of Chalre Associates Management Consulting.
