Rana Ezzat’s Early Life and EducationRana Ezzat was born on February 5th, 1990, in Cairo, Egypt. She was raised in a traditional conservative family with a Muslim background. Ezzat finished high school in 2009 and then completed her undergraduate degree in Applied Mathematics from Cairo University.Ezzat first worked in the traditional field of chemical engineering. However, she found that she found it difficult to stay excited about the work and decided to switch to people development. Rana Ezzat is an investigative journalist, who has been with Ayoub El Khattas paper, Al-Jazeera English, since she was 18. After completing her studies at The American University in Cairo (A.U.C.), she worked as a media specialist for the Egyptian Radio Company, before joining Ayoub El- Khattas paper in January, 2016. Rana Ezzat is a columnist for Ayoub El- Khattas paper, and has also writing for the official website of the Islamist militant group ISIS, since October, 2017.
