As a result of the sale a programme of work was established to separate the TPF brand from RBSG systems. Delivery meant that Tesco could move to purpose built premises in Edinburgh. Met and established relationships with various Tesco Personal Finance, Tesco and Technology Services support teams at senior levels. From September 2008 to November 2009 (1 year 3 months) Project Manager @ The Sapphire Programme consisted of a number of very high profile multi-million pound projects that were created to support the Securitisation of various Bank assets including mortgages, personal loans and other debt based products. Successful implementation of project added over £20billion to Bank’s balance sheet. Managed J2EE online system team and also acted as Technical Lead. Team consisted 5 direct reports, with an onshore team of 14+ members of staff and an offshore development team of 150+ Java Developers and Team Leaders. Responsible for providing support and consultancy advice on various development toolkits. Developed, supported and maintained various NatWest websites on E-commerce. Started as C++ developer, but was trained in Java on the natwest.com development team. Worked on a number of projects using Microsoft Visual Studio (Visual Basic / C++), Windows NT and Object Oriented design techniques including UML class and state diagrams.
