Parth Sarathi Roy began his education in India at the age of 18 in 1973, at Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University, where he received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Ecology in January 1972. After completing his education, he worked for ten years at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, before returning to India in January 2007 to begin his presidency of the Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University.
