💼 Past Experience

As a data analyst, I use a game theoretic approach to convert human behavior aspects such as feelings (loyalty, trust) and social norms (fairness, reciprocity) into mathematical and statistical models. I am an economist who uses data to focus on understanding what makes people tick the way they do and how those incentives play a role in any economic environment. As a senior data analyst at Salt Hill Statistical Consulting from January 2012 to January 2015 (3 years 1 month), I investigated data and deciphered the human behavior that led to its creation. As a result, I helped shape platforms that turn this insight into actionable policy. I also oversaw a number of changes in the decision practice throughout the organization utilizing a game theoretic approach. Ultimately, my experience with data analysis has given me the ability to effectively measure the success of Understood’s services.

🎓 Education

Orit Ronen is a emeritus professor of economics at The Hebrew University, where she taught from 2004 to 2010. She was a visiting PhD student at MIT from 2004 to 2005.Ronen's prior education has spanned a number of areas including economics, mathematics, philosophy, and psychology. She has Hold a doctorate in economics from Tel Aviv University and a master's degree in economics from the same school. Ronen has also taught at the school of management and research of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
