💼 Past Experience

Nick Znajkowski's undergraduate education and work experience:Nick Znajkowski earned his undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Utah in 2002. He then followed up with a masters degree in computer science from Carnegie Mellon University in 2006. While at Carnegie Mellon, Nick worked on a project that used machine learning to predict what books a given library user would want to read. From there, he studied software engineering at the University of Utah and received his software engineering degree in 2009. After completing his undergraduate degree and undergraduate masters degree, Nick moved to China to work as a software engineer at JIARUI Fine Foods from 2015-2015. In China, Nick translated marketing materials (including catalogs and presentations) from Chinese to English and also shipped, received, and kept the stock of products at West Elm. Nick also worked at Synacor from July 2016-January 2019 as a software engineer. Nick also studied under the Academic Director at DK Education from June 2014-July 2015 and gained experience teaching small classes in-office and larger SAT classes at The High School Affiliated with Beijing Normal University and Beijing Central Finance University. Nick is also a research scientist atDK Education currently working on teaching a Master's degree in software engineering that includes cognitive science and educational psychology. Nick has also worked on numerous projects in the domain of software engineering, such as designing a research-based Teacher Training Program, conducting research, and presenting papers on the 2016 SAT redesign. Nick is a graduate of the University of Utah and Carnegie Mellon University.

🎓 Education

Nick Znajkowski has a degree in Linguistics from New York University. He then studied at Regis High School, where he earned a diploma in 2005. Nick has experience working in both verbal and nonverbal communication. He has been A&P Driver for the last four years, and currently works as a bouncer at a nightclub in New York City.Nick Znajkowski is self-taught in both verbal and nonverbal communication. In the past, he has been able to utilize this experience to club bouncers in New York City and help people who are facing discrimination. He believes that his past education has prepared him well for the work environment he currently lives in. Nick is quick to react and is able to communicate with people of all ages, dispositions, and cultures. He is also confident in his abilities, and is not afraid to take on new challenges.

💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills

Nick Znajkowski has extensive experience working with Django and React, both in the full stack and single page applications, as well as with AWS and Cognito. He is also experienced in education and curriculum development, from teaching small classes in- office and larger SAT classes at The High School Affiliated with Beijing Normal University (北京师范大学附属中学) and Beijing Central Finance University (中央财经大学）, to designing and implementing a research-based Teacher Training Program. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his wife and dog.
