I'm a motivated, driven developer who loves a challenge and strives to learn every day.
I love being in the world of mobile development because the rate of change requires continuous growth and shorter product lifecycles allow you to quickly deliver useful products directly into the hands of users.
I have a passion for technology, education, and software development and enjoy opportunities to combine the three.
Currently, I work as an Android developer at ESRI. I'm focusing right now on learning all I can about Android, and building high-quality, useful, and enjoyable Android applications. I have a long background in GIS, including my undergraduate work. At the tail end of that degree I discovered a passion for computer science and applied to begin a masters degree in CS.
Before starting my masters program, I picked up a book on Android development and learned enough to release my first app on Google Play (My Love Butler). During my graduate work I performed research in evolutionary robotics using Android smartphones to evolve robotic controllers for autonomous, mobile robots.
Software Engineer (Android apps) @ Currently an Android developer in the Apps Group focused on building high quality mobile GIS applications.
Work across the Android platform using a number of framework components including: content providers, sync adapters, support libraries, design library, download manager, account manager and more.
