The facility at Khewra is Pakistan’s largest Synthetic soda ash manufacturing plant with a production capacity of 350,000 tons per annum. (Aug. 2012 – Present)• Managing monthly KPI (Key Performance Indicators) targets like Revenue expenditure, breakdown hours, Inventory targets and Over-time.• Maintaining a thrust on reliability centered maintenance with goal of ‘zero breakdowns’ and carrying out reliability audits.• Part of teams to carry out FMEAs, Life cycle analysis (Weibull) and safety risk assessments.• Planning & Execution of maintenance & trouble-shooting activities on plant equipment including motors, Variable Speed Drives, Gas & Steam turbines, Sub-stations, transformers, DCC & MCC panels & Energy management system. Used thermo-imaging and vibration analysis studies to ensure equipment reliability.• Carrying out Behavior Based Safety Audits & giving daily safety/Tool box talk in workshop. Carrying out monthly Safety Improvement Team meetings.• Proposing, budgeting and implementation of yearly capital projects in Area of concern (Electrical related projects)• Carrying out periodic training sessions of team for skill building.• Carried out a detailed analysis on slow moving inventory. Computed inventory turn ratios with regards to spares consumption and readjusted minimum and maximum levels for spares.• Performing root cause analysis (RCA) for failures using 5 why analysis, fishbone diagrams and pareto charts and publishing failure reports with actionable recommendations. Ensuring compliance with change management procedures.• Developed new work procedures and formalization of best workshop practices with focus on waste reduction and ergonomics improvement.
