Mo Bunnell's educational background is a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and a Minor in Business. Mo Bunnell completed her undergraduate degree at Ball State University in 1986. She worked as an actuary for a small law firm before moving to independent practice in 1990.Mo Bunnell has had sporadic work experience in the actuarial business and has held various actuarial positions in the past several years. In her most recent position as actuarial research analyst with the state of Nebraska, Mo Bunnell contributed to a project that bilanced state governmentwide multiple trusts.Mo Bunnell has always been interested in the potential of business and has spent her entire adult life working as a business instructor, Chair of the accounting department at her Alma Mater, Ball State University, and most recently as an actuary. Mo Bunnell has been working in the insurance industry since 1997 where she started her career as an actuarial analyst. In 2005 Mo Bunnell co-founded Bunnell Idea Group, which is a management consulting firm. There she worked as a location leader, sales and accounts team leader, and chapter leadership consultant. Mo Bunnell also had a role as a management consultant for The Clothing Warehouse from February 2006 to June 2009. From January 1995 to August 1998, Mo Bunnell was a health care consultant for the pension fund and health care consultant for the health insurance sector of the largest employer in the country. In 1992 Mo Bunnell obtained a J.D. from the Georgia State University School of Law and began her career as an actuarial analyst.
