📖 Summary
For the last four years, I have been in charge of the microscopy laboratory in the Nanophotonics-Nanoelectronics group at INRS-EMT. After building up the laboratory, I am now managing nano-optical and bio-chemical research projects, directing students, and supervising the research group in the absence of the principal investigator.Postdoctoral Research Fellow @ In addition to my management and supervisory roles, my main research project is focused on the chemical characterization of histone modifications to develop a Raman spectroscopy based marker-free alternative to chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing. From January 2014 to Present (1 year 10 months) Montréal, CanadaPh.D. Fellow @ Apart from my Ph.D. project on “Tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy for nanoelectronics”, I accomplished the following: design, operation, and management of a microscopy laboratory for scanning probe and laser-scanning microscopy, Raman spectroscopy, and near-field optical imaging; development of a novel method for the optical imaging of the refractive index of nano-crystals; AFM and Raman studies on collagen type-2 structures as part of a research project on osteoarthritis for the development of non-invasive diagnostics; development of an electro-chemical etching setup for the fabrication of TERS tips; research on the resistive switching of functional materials, electro-mechanical response of ferroelectric thin films, conversion efficiency of photovoltaic nanostructures, and electrical and chemical properties of carbon nanotubes.
