💼 Past Experience

From 1997-2002, Mike worked at IBM as Systems Administrator for their ScienceCenter and later joined their Turf Technologies squad in 2002. There he was responsible for helping IBM AIX systems power thewas the first to market a realtime event management system for large stadiums. After his stint at IBM, Mike joined Accenture in October 1995.Since Mike left Accenture, he has worked at Walgreens Boots Alliance, Blake Milburn, Ingram Micro and First Solar Technologies (acquired by SunPower).

Mike Maresca is a professional aerospace engineer who has a professional background in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Mike is originally from Iowa State University, where he earned a Master of Science (MS) in Aerospace Engineering with a focus on CFD.Mike started his career in the aerospace industry in 1993 as a technical advisor in the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) department at Iowa State University. He spent most of his career there, working in a variety of technical positions, including Project Manager, Modeling and Simulation Lead, and Technical Assistant.Mike is currently a visiting scholar at the University ofToronto Institute of Aerospace Studies, where he is providing research assistance in CFD. He is also a fellow at the American Physical Society (APS).Mike has written a number of articles on CFD and its use in the aerospace industry, and he is currently a reviewer for the Journal of Physical Chemistry (JPC). Mike is also a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Aerospace Engineering and has served as a reviewer for a number of other journals.Overall, Mike has been very impressed with the current state ofCFD and its potential use in the aerospace industry. He has come to the conclusion thatCFD is ideally suited for many of the industrial applications currently being explored in the aerospace industry, and he is excited about the possibilities thatCFD has for furthering the development of aerospace technologies.
