When I first met Michelle, she told me that she had been a VP at AMD, where she worked on marketing strategies for AMD’sstepping up its product offerings in response to increased AMD Ryzen CPU demand. Unknown to me at the time, she also had experience developing and managing marketing strategies for digital products, such as social media, website design, and userInterface avatars. I then asked her about her later experience at Worldpay, where she was responsible for developing and executes marketing strategies for Worldpay’s growth into $9B payments technology company. In this role, she worked closely with both digital and marketing teams to help promote Worldpay’s products and solutions to merchants and their customers. In her previous role at First Data, she also managed marketing strategies for First Data’s merchant acquiring, payment acceptance business. During her time at Worldpay, she also identified sales performance gaps in the company’s contact links manager, and worked with marketing and product groups to develop marketing strategies to close these sales.Additionally, she had experience in product marketing as the leader of a high-growth payments business focused on creating bill payment solutions for enterprise and mid-market billers across industries. As a result of her experience, she was also able to develop creative used for statement inserts, statement messages, direct mail, and pipeline nurturing tactics to take Worldpay’s products and solutions to a new level.Since leaving Worldpay, Michelle has taken on a similar role as Director, Marketing at Verizon, where she previous held various roles in Marketing, Training and Sales. She also currently works as a Manager, Customer Engagement Marketing at First Data from May 2009 to May 2010 (1 year 1 month) in Atlanta, Georgia and has completed additional marketing tasks at Sam’s Club as well. In her previous position, she was responsible for managing touch point strategy and analysis to evaluate overall customer experience at all contact points, developing value proposition, messaging, and creative assets used in direct response efforts to drive higher product penetration, and establishing cross-sell marketing calendars to organize messaging by month as well as products sold mapped against the merchant lifecycle. Additionally, she also managed an annual marketing budget of $6.2mm while maintaining cost per lead and cost per account targets below $85 and $250 respectively. Finally, she also developed pipeline nurturing campaigns with a series of messages pushed day 7, 10 and 30 days after the first sales call to help accelerate closed accounts.
