About Mia Darr

Mia Darr is a dynamic Co-Founder of Positive Altitudes, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing participation in downhill skiing among kids from underrepresented communities. Currently a rising senior at the University School of Milwaukee, Mia’s leadership in this initiative reflects her commitment to ethical leadership and community engagement. Under her guidance, Positive Altitudes has successfully launched its inaugural season in 2022, forming impactful partnerships with organizations such as The Boys and Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and COA Youth and Family Center. These collaborations have not only facilitated access to skiing for youth but have also fostered a sense of belonging and empowerment among participants.

Mia’s experience as a 3-sport athlete has been instrumental in shaping her approach to nonprofit management.
