From May 2014 to August 2015 (1 year 4 months) Gloucester, HQ NATO Allied Rapid Response ForceChief of Staff, Training @ Planned and managed the individual training for 440 HQ staff comprised of 13 nationalities, while also developing policy and overseeing individual preparation and operational training of the 200 000 strong land force. A secondary role as Chief of Staff to the Head of Training ran all administration, HR and training for department of 30 senior officers. • Training efficiency. Massively raised levels of competency of HQ staff, slashed waste across all NATO training courses through introduction of online offering, boosted efficiency, simplified and transformed training process for ARRC staff. From May 2012 to September 2013 (1 year 5 months) Gloucester, United KingdomSenior Manager and Mentor @ Selected to coordinate 120 highly-trained analysts and specialists, who provided intelligence to UK forces and the UK Government. Fused different intelligence-sources and ran day-to-day operation and planning for three divisions, including weapons intelligence on enemy technical capabilities. Prepared deployment and maintained strict adherence to policy, under scrutiny of parliament. • System enhancement. Improved speed and effectiveness of intelligence output and led project to switch use of some intelligence to target enemy through Afghan judicial prosecution. Radically improved effectiveness and efficiency of training process and substantially improved realism, which led to reduction in casualties once in theatre. From July 2009 to August 2011 (2 years 2 months) GermanyManager @ Led day-to-day operations for a Squadron of 140 people across three Troops, balanced resources and interacted closely with senior command. Sequenced training, found and justified resources for demanding and dangerous tour in Afghanistan. Also acted as Engineering SME for other infantry units in theatre. • Programme/Project Management. As Engineering and Bomb Disposal SME attached to 42 Commando in Afghanistan, assumed senior operations role with oversight of engineering strategy and planning throughout Southern Afghanistan for all ISAF units and nationalities. From August 2007 to July 2009 (2 years) Europe, Middle East, AfghanistanTeam Leader & Bomb Disposal Officer @ Troop commander with leadership of between 30 and 40 men, in charge of their training, welfare, and operational effectiveness. Led bomb disposal and search operations with between four and six teams. Trained and patrolled in the UK and posted to Iraq, Kenya, and Lebanon. • Process Optimisation. Delivered step change improvement in bomb disposal training whilst on six-month deployment to southern Iraq. Pioneered immediate feedback to bomb training school in UK of type of scenarios being dealt with.
