💼 Past Experience

As a Sr. Manager / Engineer at PowerPlan, Inc., from January 2007 to January 2012, I worked on a number of projects within the company. My responsibilities included creating, managing, and maintaining the search fund community on the company's website. Additionally, I was also responsible for developing and maintaining the company's search engine. Overall, my work within the company was very experience-rich, and I extremely enjoyed the experience. I would definitely recommend this type of work to others, and I know that I would be happy to work in a similar position again in the future.At Post Analytica, from April 2013 to September 2016, I was a co-founder and CTO of their company. My responsibilities included developing and implement search engine strategy, optimizing the search engine, as well as developing and leading the company's social media initiatives. At Post Analytica, I was very privileged to have a lot of experience with a lot of different search engine tool providers. Additionally, I was also able to develop deep relationships with a lot of my peers, which helped me grow and learn rapidly. Overall, I was very impressed with the hospitality and culture at Post Analytica. I would definitely recommend working at Post Analytica to others, and I have no doubt that I would have the same experience and relationships if I ever decided to start my own company again.

Yuan has two brothers and one sister.Yuan's experience and education will be important in his future career. 💡 Technical & Interpersonal Skills

What first got me interested in search engines was the rampant monopolization of the keyword space by Google. They were having WAY too much of the market and were able to use their resources to dictate what was searched for. I thought to myself, "I want to be able to determine how google isranking my keywords and help people rank their site higher". After taking some courses about search engines and their components, I then decided to start a company that focused on providing better keyword visibility for web developers - Searchfunder.com. I was really passionate about the company and wanted to make a difference in the industry. I quickly learned that I had a lot of ADD, so I decided to take a6 year break from working in search engines to focus on my skills as a leader and coach. I then founded Post Analytica in April 2013. It was a really tough time to pivot a company, but I think what I learned and experienced helped us get through some tough times. AfterPost Analytica was founded, I decided to take an MBA at MIT Sloan School of Management. I was very passionate about the program and wanted to use my skills to help people achieve their professional goals. I am currently a Sr. Manager / Engineer at PowerPlan, Inc. from January 2007 to January 2012, Vice President at Post Analytica from April 2013 to September 2016, and currently a Manager at Searchfunder.com.
