Having been asked to apply for 'a' role in the Directorate of Environment, and joining after a challenging and leaderless period, there was much to do. I helped define the roles of Business Manager, Contracts Manager and re-structured the administrative function to better serve the Directorate. Despite a challenging and changing atmosphere (three directors in less than three years), my remit and responsibilities have only increased, due to my success. From October 2012 to Present (3 years 3 months) London, United KingdomYoga Instructor @ I am a fully qualified Sivananda yoga teacher and have taught in most settings: - privately in homes and parks - in health clubs and gyms - at climbing and sports centres - for those with mild to severe learning and physical difficulties - at schools (teachers and students) - local halls My approach to yoga is based in the teachings of Sivananda though my practice includes dynamic, kundalini, hatha and vinyasa. Using an online portal, I built a website and then designed marketing material for notice boards, mail drops and friends. I taught up to 7 classes a week at my busiest, covered and arranged cover for holidays and produced invoices, receipts and edit notes as required. Whilst I no longer teach, yoga remains a large and important part of my life. I endeavour to bring the teachings of yoga in to my daily life, creating and nurturing positivity, non-violence, growth and understanding. I attended weekly supervision, completed all necessary paperwork and attended AGM meetings and trainings. I was appraised positively for the work I did and made the most of supervision and training. My clients had a range of difficulties; from addictions to anxiety and depression. After three years I began assessing potential clients for the service, this brought me into contact with some deeply troubled people. I would then write a clinical assessment of the person; this work required I attend separate, further supervision.
