💼 Past Experience

My experience with oil and gas, specifically working in the Oil and Gas industry, was nine years (1997 to 2006). During this time, I managed sales for a Fortune 500 oil and gas company, and also sold products to technical, operations, and executive prospects. I learned a lot about strategies, pricing, sales process, and targets during this time. I also got to experience many different cultures, and developed friendly relationships with different individuals and companies within the oil and gas industry.Since leaving my position at Forrester Research, I have been an executive leader at modalpoint, LLC. modalpoint is a global source providing professional keynote speakers, panel moderators and learning presentations all focused on the Oil and Gas industry. We create experiences that inform, educate and entertain. This past year, we were the headline exhibitor at the AVN Expo in Las Vegas, and we alsohosted a training day for oil and gas professionals at the University of Houston. I am also the editor in chief at Oil and Gas Global Network, which is focused on the Oil and Gas industry. This company has a large audience of 1,000,000 downloads from 182 different countries.

🎓 Education

Mark LaCour's education has roots in a wide variety of disciplines. He began his educational journey at Zachary High School, where he studied Wildlife Management from 1978-1982. From there, he transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where he received his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Wildlife Management in 1988.Mark LaCour has had a varied career path since leaving the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He has worked in a variety of positions, most notably as a Wildlife Manager at Acadia National Park from 2001-2005. He has also held positions as a visiting professor at the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and the University of Florida.Most recently, he has been a full-time instructor at the University of Florida, where he is responsible for educating undergraduate and graduate students in Environmental Science. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.Mark LaCour has faced many difficult challenges throughout his life, but he has always overcome them with the help of God. He is a hard worker and has a lasting impact on those around him.
