💼 Past Experience

“Leadership Development Advisor”Leadership, organizations, and strategic HR management are core areas of my expertise, and I have beenasisired to work in this area. I am a Managing Director at Alta Leadership Group, where I work with clients to improve individual, team, and organizational performance. I also teach at the Human Capital Institute, where I am an adjunct professor of leadership, organizations, and strategic HR management. I have also worked at various companies, most notably at Walmart. There, I directed the Labor and Employment Department, which was responsible for providing training to more than 2 million hourly employees. I also managed employee data, wrote policies and procedures, and created leadership development programs for managers. I am continuosly working at PACE Membership Warehouse, where I am currently the manager of internal communications and speechwriter for CEO. My previous work also focused on workplace policies, training programs, and employee communication.

Mark Hacker's education began withstudies at Trinity-Pawling School in Clinton, Connecticut. There, he studied Organizational Development and Communications. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Denver, Mark moved on to receive his Masters of Arts in Organizational Development and Communications from the school in 1988. Mark then spent 1 year working as a Communications Technician at the University of Denver before moving on to my selections Professional Development program. There, he further learned about communication strategies and strategies for developing or maintaining successful organizations. Mark has effectively used these skills throughout his professional career, including working as a COBIT-certified manager for a technical support company and as a lead product strategist for a technology company.

Mark Hacker has over 35 years of experience in leadership development, human resources, and performance improvement. He is a senior faculty member at the Human Capital Institute and has been a faculty member at the University of Denver since January 2011. He has previous work experience as a Director of Lifelong Learning and Talent Development at Walmart from January 2009 to January 2010 and as a Regional Director of Learning and Development at Walmart from January 2002 to January 2006. He also has previous work experience as Regional Human Resources Director (HR Business Partner) at Walmart from January 1998 to January 2002.Mark Hacker’s professional experiences include experience as a leader development advisor, senior faculty at the Human Capital Institute, industry of management consulting, and policy and procedures coordinator at Walmart. In his personal experience, Mark has always been dedicated to improving individual, team, and organizational performance.
