Marc Stern serves as the Cyber-Security Consulting Director at Approach Cyber, where he leverages his extensive expertise to deliver high-end cybersecurity solutions across both private and public sectors. With a robust background in cybersecurity architecture and project management, Marc has played a pivotal role in several key initiatives, most notably as the lead architect for the Belgian electronic identity card (eID). In this capacity, he was responsible for the architecture, design, specifications, testing, integration, and overall project coordination, ensuring a secure and user-friendly identity verification process.

In addition to his work on the eID, Marc has also been instrumental in the development of the European identity federation framework (STORK/eIDAS-Node), where he led the security group to establish robust security protocols that facilitate secure digital interactions across Europe.
