About Lydia Wei
💼 Past Experience
I have been working in product management for six years now. I have electrical Engineering degrees from University of Northern California and Stanford University. I have been working in the digital product management (DPM) field since I joined Cisco in 2013. All my experiences in the product management field have been in the engineering and product development realm. I am responsible for oversimplifying and/or designing products, managing and leading teams of engineers, and working with customers to make sure the products we create are meeting their needs and expectations. When it comes to DPM, I believe in rapid learning, which is why I try to learn as much as I can in a short amount of time. I also believe that the faster you can learn, the better you are at it. I try to use case studies, problem examples, and actual products to teach my students how to do the same. I also like to think that I am a good listener and build relationships with my students. I think that my approach to learning and my students’ approaches to learning are both effective. Most of my happiest moments in the product management field have come from working with customers. I have seen so many products come to life and change because of the questions and solutions that I have provided to them. I have also been able to help my customers develop and implement products that they are extremely happy with.In my experience, customer service is one of the most important aspects of DPM. I feel that it is my responsibility to work closely with my customers to help them get the products they need and deserve. I also feel that I have a lot to learn in this field, and I am always the willing pupil that is willing to learn and grow. I am excited to learn more and to help my customers achieve their goals in the product management field.
