LuoSi is now a Research Advisor at ZergNet from2013 to 2014 and designed and developed the lander article recommendation algorithm based on probabilistic evidence combination model. Luo Si also designed and developed the language technology lab at DAMO academy, which has helped Numerous businesses achieve efficiency in their E-commerce and Machine TranslationIsraeli business achieved efficiency in their machine translation solutions from scratch by using Luo Si's innovative probabilistic mixture model design. LuoSi is currently an Assistant Professor at Purdue University and Distinguished Engineer/Vice President at Alibaba Group Inc. in Seattle, Silicon Valley, and Hangzhou. Luo Si is also responsible for developing the intelligent mobile push platforms for Alibaba’s e-commerce eco-system, which are proactively introducing dozens of millions users into Alibaba’s mobile e-commerce apps and increasing the user volume by 100 times.

Luo Si is a Professor at Carnegie Mellon University in the School of Computer Science. Luo Si's main research interests are in computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Luo Si has over 20 years of experience in research and teaching in the field of computer science, and has many publication achievements. Luo Si is currently a holder of the John Thompson Chair in the School of Computer Science and a fellow of the ACM. Luo Si has won several awards and prizes in the field of computer science, including the Turing Award in 2006, the Mattel Award in 1998, the Dongrinchuk Prize in 1994, and the award for best paper at the Fifth International Conference on Computer Tomography and Nature, known as " Image Processing '98".
