Portfolio - www.luke-testa-demonstrations.com My hard-work, commitment and interests helped me obtain a First Class Honours BEng at the University of Surrey in Electronic and Computer Engineering. Qualcomm employed me as a RF hardware intern for my 12-month undergraduate placement. However my software traits, responsibility and achiever personality aquired a 2-month extension implementing signal processing algorithms on a SnapDragon chipset. Interested in technically challenging projects, I became an active member of London Hackspace in August 2014, and an openRA contributer, frequently debugging and refacting AI issues.Research and Development Engineer @ From October 2014 to Present (1 year 3 months) Oxford, United KingdomInterim Engineering Intern @ • C/C++: Implemented and verified digital signal processing algorithms for a SnapDragon chipset according to system design specifications. • GUI in .NET 4: Designed and programmed a GUI to integrate existing C# classes. • C# and software design: Lead the concurrent CPU system design for an automated test suite based on an Intel architecture. • Troubleshooting/optimizing, MATLAB and SCPI scripts: Improved automated RF parametric testing efficiency over a wired network topology. • Board-level debugging: Characterised the S-parameters of PCB interconnections and improved PA power efficiency with envelope tracking techniques. • Agilent Design Software: RF simulations including EM momentum and impedance matching networks for RFID transponders. • LTE, TD-SCDMA and GSM result analysis, presentations and data reviews. • Liaison data with team members to evaluate system performance, discuss and prioritise probable solutions to system faults. From June 2012 to August 2013 (1 year 3 months) Trainee @ • Teamwork, organisation and deadlines; Following set work according to a specification. Teaching children music production skills and helping them meet project deadlines. • Responsibility: Supervising children's use of equipment. • Customer service and communication; Handling customer queries and product sales at public events.events.
