22-year-old Luke Massie started his business journey by launching a call centre in the cut throat world of insurance at the tender age of 17 – Mortgage Claims Direct Ltd. Twelve successful months later he sold the business having started the next stage of his entrepreneurial adventure – a student discount and benefits website that was successful but ultimately proved not to be scalable.
During this time, Luke purchased tickets for friends to join him at a concert. Unfortunately they had double booked themselves and not wanting to waste the tickets or rip anyone off, Luke looked for a way to sell the tickets for face value to real fans. Seeing that there wasn’t a free option available, Vibe Tickets was born.
Through word of mouth, Vibe Tickets rapidly grew to a community of 140k followers and with backing by his mentor Matt Newing, who founded Elite Telecom and features in The Sunday Times Rich List, Luke is ready to take Vibe Tickets to the next level.
Luke is aiming for Vibe Tickets to become one of the most disruptive presences in the secondary ticket market. He believes his business is about to turn the industry on its head.
Luke is the youngest person to ever make Business Insider’s 42 under 42 list – an exclusive list which tips up and coming entrepreneurs under the age of 42 for success. Luke is also a proud ambassador for Lancashire county councils Boost programme. Boost is a £7.2Million EDRF funded scheme offering support to new start ups in the region.
Owner and Founder @ We believe in real fans, paying real prices to go to the events they love.
Tickets for events are becoming harder to get your hands on because people snap them up and then they appear on secondary ticketing sites for vastly inflated prices. #BadVibes. We believe there is a better way.
We believe buying and selling tickets is a social thing. Live event enthusiasts love meeting people with the same passion as them. We want to allow real fans get to the events they love and to meet their next new best friend.
