My love of technology began at pretty much the same time I could walk with me bashing away at the keyboard of an Amiga 500. I caught the bug after getting hooked on early classics like Cannon Fodder, Monkey Island and Command & Conquer. I grew up ripping apart things and (hopefully) putting them back together, tinkering with whatever I could get my hands on and fixing all the things that I broke in the process. I smashed my first TV when I was 18 months old trying to get to the cables at the back, by the age of nine I had taught myself how to build my first computer. Quite simply I've always surrounded myself with technology and my passion hasn't let up since.
Today I like to build things, I like to fix things that are broken and to simplify existing systems that are a mess, be they IT or Business. The fact that I was predominantly self-taught has stood me in good stead for the fast-paced modern world of technology where the ability to assimilate new languages and the desire to stay cutting edge can be paramount.
I've excelled in customer-facing technology roles and am now working as a developer for startups.
I also like to experience new things and broaden my horizons, I've recently returned from Shenzhen, China trying to understand the complex nature of Chinese culture, business and language.
