As a Data Scientist at Explorys, I delve in large volumes of medical data to help drive better decision making and solve problems which make a direct impact on patient care. I am interested in tackling big problems by using my mathematical background combined with good programming and data wrangling skills to develop models and better understand complex datasets.
I have also previously worked on data mining project involving large Electronic Health Record (EHR) datasets to derive patterns, find usable insights to provide better clinical and financial decision making abilities. I have developed prototype models to use predictive analytics to make EHRs more streamlined and efficient by developing algorithms to improve and add additional functionalities.
I have applied Natural Language Processing Techniques to learn from the huge amount of unstructured text that currently exists in Medical datasets.
I also have experience in large scale optimization and scheduling problems. I developed a scheduler tool which helps in University time table scheduling using constraint programming.
In my spare time I involve myself in interdisciplinary projects and have developed a composition model using Markov Chain Monte Carlo Methods for Algorithmic Musical Composition. The model analyzes existing piece of music as training data and is capable of producing new pieces of Music based on the training provided in the previous step.
