Assisted in securing a major insurance company for a beta test, leading to a major roll-out obviating the need for outside investment.
★Intern Media Group, Inc.: (2012-2014) (aka Intern Sushi and Career Sushi) Directed finance, operations, planning, and corporate governance functions for this leading high profile internet start up providing a SaaS/social hiring and job search platform. Developed business plan, financial projections including statistical and algorithmic modeling of viral growth. Company secured over $1.7M in equity funding and $2.4M in convertible debt.
★LEHR, Inc./LEHR LLC: (current) As an advisor, board observer, consultant, and interim CFO, worked with this award-winning, multiple patent-holding clean-tech company to raise multiple rounds of investment (approximately $12 million), effect a license agreement with a recognized multi-national corporation. Arranged $10M in asset-based financing prior to the company commencing sales during extremely tight credit markets in Q4 2008. Supported business development with strategic/financial presentations to secure international distribution deals including critical relationships in China and Europe.
★BlogStar, Inc. (2006) Developed projections and investor presentation for this Twitter pre-cursor that worked on a subscription model. Mobile customers could subscribe to celebrity feeds and receive direct communication on a daily basis. Developed walled-garden distribution relationships with most major global telecom companies. Launched service at GSM Barcelona 2006.
★ClickPlay LLC: (2001-2002) Acted as CEO of this internet music company that developed a system for 3rd party payment for free music download services. Developed a strategy for engaging users in a conversation that brought them closer to the brand sponsoring their free music subscription. Founder/Angel funded.
★ArtistDIRECT, Inc.: (1999-2000): Created a dynamic financial model and investor presentations that merged 4 divisions of this internet music powerhouse (musician/band information portal, online artist merchandise stores, record label, and tour booking agency). Developed metrics for valuing eyeballs on pages that convinced investors to invest over $230 million in 2 venture capital rounds, strategic investment by major record labels, an IPO and an international joint venture.
★NBC Entertainment: (1991) Developed a model that valued television libraries of current and past productions using a series of cascading contingent probabilities and individual production participation terms.
