Industrial Business Leader @ Sales, Marketing, and Engineering leadership responsibility for the Engine Integration Center (OEM Division). Manage team of 2 Account Managers and 9 Engineers.
#1 Cummins distributor for OEM engine sales by volume, accounting for 40% of total North American engine sales. Excluding 2009 recession, this team has achieved >20% CAGR since 2007.
Leading team and customers through transition to EPA Tier 4 Interim, Tier 4 Final, and EPA On-highway 2015. This includes presenting and selling Cummins solutions to OEM customers, assisting customers with EPA/CARB regulatory compliance, and creating TPEM usage strategies (Temporary Provision for Equipment Manufacturer's).
The engineering team has successfully completed 140 application/installation reviews since 2000 under my leadership.
Account management responsibility for 2 of the top 8 OEM customers. This includes identifying sales growth opportunities, price negotiations, engine and parts forecasting, and facilitating issue resolution.
Assist the General Manager in managing the overall business to the Cummins balanced scorecard, including achieving goals for: NPS (customer satisfaction), PBIT, inventory turns, accounts receivables, engine sales growth, 6 Sigma customer focused projects, 6 Sigma profitability projects, and expense control.
Member of Executive Management team since 2008. Quarterly, present the President and Vice Presidents with an OEM business review, future business opportunities, and potential risks and issues.
Cummins trained and certified Six Sigma green belt. One project to decrease build times resulting in $680k increase in gross profit for 2008. Another project to document the new product development process resulting in $170k in savings. From January 2007 to Present (9 years) Des Moines, Iowa AreaLead Application Engineer @ Lead team of 7 Project, Design and Application Engineers, regarded as one of the top engineering teams amongst Cummins distributors.
