Born and raised in the Atlanta metropolitan area, Jonathan Rogers enjoyed a voluntary stint at Honors School in Rome, Italy in 2017 before coming back to the U.S. to attend Kennesaw State University. While attending Kennesaw State, Rogers worked as a part of the Systems Engineer team at MailChimp, helping to keep the lights on for our customers. There, she was responsible for developing and maintaining the company's production load balancers and related infrastructure, as well as managing package / artifact storage and distribution, monitoring / telemetry and paging / alerting systems, and container lifecycle management and Docker infrastructure. From there, she moved on to work as a build and release engineer at CNN in 2016. Here, she was responsible for designing and building continuous availability and delivery applications for the newsroom's video delivery applications. In addition, she also worked on architecting a microservice-based Jenkins continuous integration based on Docker Swarm, and supporting a mixed environment including both on-premises VMware and Amazon AWS infrastructure. After 1 year at CNN, she moved on to work as a systems engineer at MailChimp from 2017 to 2019. Here, she was responsible for keeping the lights on for our customers by developing and maintaining the company's production load balancers, as well as managing package / artifact storage and distribution, monitoring / telemetry and paging / alerting systems, and container lifecycle management and Docker infrastructure.
