Ensconced at the home of the Spring Framework, I am leveraging many years of both UI and backend development experience on systems from mainframes to AS/400's to the cloud, to architect and develop the next generation of libraries that assist developers in leveraging the cloud to help solve the big and fast data needs of today's agile businesses.
Reactor Project Lead @ Jon was a Founder and the Project Lead for Reactor but came on board with Spring in the initial days of the Spring Data project. He has been a contributor to Spring and Spring Data for three years and has trained hundreds of developers in the use of Spring Data and Cloud technologies. He has spoken at conferences in the U.S. and in Europe and is co-author of the O'Reilly publication "Spring Data: Modern Data Access for Enterprise Java". Prior to Pivotal, Jon developed private cloud architectures at the world's largest Pizza Hut franchisee, developed Lotus Domino, J2EE, PHP and even Perl CGI applications in BBEdit on an aged Mac, and got his start in web-based development 20 years ago, as an intelligence analyst for the US Air Force, when NCSA Mosaic 1.0 was cool.
